Senate Office of Research releases special report on Alzheimer’s disease

This month, the California Senate Office of Research released a special report on Alzheimer’s disease, entitled Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease.  The report outlines the stages of Alzheimer’s disease, key state and federal statistics, the state of available drug treatments, as well as the impact of the disease on caregivers, society and the economy.  The report also discusses the California Alzheimer’s Disease State Plan and the National Alzheimer’s Project Act.
